Dear Republican Friends, 

As Chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party, I have the great privilege to travel throughout the state and get a glimpse of our many diverse communities.  I am continually inspired by the strength and idealism of our people and their commitment to preserving the greatness of our state.  Always remember that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.   

The greatness of our country and our state lies in the fact that here, in a way unlike anywhere else, we have the freedom to direct our destiny.  Here, government really is of the people, by the people, and for the people.  As 2008 approaches, some of our opponents would like to cast a dark cloud over our future, but I think there is much reason to hope.  We must unite behind the strength of our conservative ideals and when we do so, we will convince North Carolina that our party has the best vision for our state.   

President Reagan was right when he taught us, “It’s morning again in America.”  A brand new day is dawning in our state and the day is ours to do what we will with it.  I am extremely proud to continue with each of you in our efforts to keep North Carolina great.  God bless you all.
