DEMOCRATS CELEBRATE FAVORITE HOLIDAY: TAX DAY
RALEIGH--Senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama both plan to raise taxes significantly if elected. Each has proposed raising taxes on capital gains as well as payroll taxes and taxes on business.
Both Democrat Candidates Have Big Spending Agendas Which They Claim Are Paid For ... Meaning More Taxes?

Chairman Linda Daves, North Carolina Republican Party, made the following statement:
“Ronald Reagan once said, ‘Republicans believe every day is the Fourth of July, but Democrats believe every day is April 15.’ His statement has never been made more evident than by the two Democrats running for President this year. Neither candidate has ever seen a tax that could not be raised or a dollar of our tax money that could not be spent. Voters looking for tax relief at this time of year will not find it in the Democrat agenda. Both Clinton and Obama have already supported a massive tax increase that would directly affect the middle class while promising even more taxes and spending if either is elected. Now is not the time for tax increases that will stifle economic growth and further damage the economy. Low taxes and sensible spending are the prescription to soothe current economic woes and John McCain is the candidate who offers common sense solutions.”
